Ever count how many times you tell yourself you have to do something or you have to get something done and then get upset with yourself or feel bad that you didn’t get to whatever it was you just had to do? Sounds a little silly, but we do it every day. In turn, we have expectations of how things should be or how things should go. When they don’t go our way we feel let down. Try giving yourself a little room on your rules and demands, and be aware of how many times these thoughts are consuming you over a period of time. I hope you’ll find most of it is pressure you’re putting on yourself, and that giving yourself a break once in a while might just create room for other new and exciting opportunities and experiences.
We all must follow the laws and they are there for good reason, but rules are flexible.
A law is: the system of rules that a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and may enforce by the imposition of penalties.
A rule is: one of a set of explicit or understood regulations or principles governing conduct within a particular activity or sphere.
And we all know, rules were made to be broken.
