I bet you somewhere someone has been through, or is going through, what you are. If you read history books or know the saying “history repeats itself” you have proof that our world works in cycles and patterns. There is an extremely slim chance that you’d be the first to experience an occurrence, speaking in terms of joy or struggle.
Social media is often knocked for its intrusiveness. Some say it causes humans to lose that person to person connection, but it should also be admired for connecting us as social human beings, it confirms that we’re not alone in whatever it may be. We can share, read, like, comment, pin, tag, encourage and connect in ways we never thought possible. Why not use social media as a helping hand, to share knowledge and beautiful pictures, encourage one another, to intellectually challenge one another?
I want to make it clear that I feel in-person human contact/connections are just as important, one is not better than the other. They can live in harmony if we use them in the right way, at the right time, and don’t abuse or misuse our relationships or our technology.
Hence my blogger identity, The Social Being721, I like to embrace my social media side but still love to strike up a stimulating conversation and build relationships offline. I try really hard to make time for both.
Social + human can = harmony. And remember, you’re not alone.
