Jealousy and Mindfulness Cannot Coexist


“Oh, the jealousy, the greed is the unraveling, it’s the unraveling, and it undoes all the joy that could be” (Joni Mitchell).”  The topic of jealously and envy is very interesting to me. In this day and age where everything, and I mean just about everything, is shared, posted, linked, ranked, rated, commented on, and sometimes ripped apart, makes for a very tough environment for us to feel secure, confident and happy in our own lives. Why do we compare ourselves to others, especially when we know it is not healthy for us and definitely does not help us get any closer to our own goals? Mindfulness and jealousy just cannot coexist, and that is a fact.
