Questions That Will Spark Your Mindfulness and Creativity

Do you ever go for a walk and observe the nature that’s dancing around you? Do you ever eat your food slowly enough to taste each bite? And do you ever read a book and simply lose yourself in the storyline? These are experiences, and all of these experiences are examples of how mindfulness can play a part in your daily life.

When we slow our minds and our pace we start to appreciate life in a different way. We start to see the sky a little bluer, the grass a little greener and love a little harder. We begin to find joy in what was once a simple cup of coffee but now, with mindfulness, is happiness and gratitude packaged in a cup. When we stay in the present moment we’re able to really take in our surroundings, become fully aware of what is going on around us and start to actually enjoy it. Stress becomes manageable and life more gratifying. Every moment, every interaction, every encounter is a new adventure. And life becomes fun, and special. Joy starts to creep into your heart and you start to smile more. No one can take that away from you. It’s a feeling and a state of mind that belongs to you. The feeling is internal and cannot be shaken. It can’t be shaken by our ever-changing external world and environment.

Ground yourself in the now. Be mindful of your words and actions. Be kind to others. Try and try again, don’t give up. And when things get tough remember that you have the strength inside you to keep on swimming, to keep on going. Know that things will pass and with time the pain will heal. Don’t be afraid to reach out, ask for help or feel vulnerable. We’re human and we all need a pick-me-up once in a while. It’s okay.

Do you seek the meaning to the lyrics of your favorite song? Do you kiss your spouse and children goodnight and really mean it? Do you laugh with all you’ve got and give with all your heart? Are you being mindful daily, in each present moment? These are just a few questions that will bring change to your life, real change. Practicing mindfulness will bring you everlasting joy, it will spark your creativity and, most importantly, it will open your mind to whatever comes next. Live the life you want today in this present moment
